On Wednesday 21 October, Kevan raised concerns about proposals for North East devolution during the committee stage of the Cities and Local Government Bill.
Kevin said, ‘One of the key factors as to whether it will work will be the proper and fair allocation of resources. This Government have a track record of devolving responsibility to local authorities while at the same time top-slicing their budgets.’
