Kevan Jones, Member of Parliament for North Durham, has voted for If U Care Share in this year’s National Lottery Awards.
If U Care Share, who are based at Great Lumley, Chester-le-Street, helps those who are affected by, or could potentially be victim to, suicide through prevention, intervention and a range of support services.
The organisation has now been shortlisted for the National Lottery Awards and are up against organisations and projects from across the country in a UK-wide vote to decide the overall winners.
Kevan said, “I have been involved with If U Care Share for a number of years now and am always impressed by the brilliant work they do, locally and nationally. I have absolutely no hesitation in voting for them and would encourage as many people as possible to also show their support to this excellent organisation.”
Voting for the awards is now open until midnight on 25 July 2014, and you can vote for If U Care Share at http://www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/project/if-u-care-share-foundation. The winners will be announced at a BBC One show in September.
