On Thursday 30 August, Kevan visited the Warburtons Bakery in Newburn along with his parliamentary colleague, Gordon Banks, MP for Ochil and South Perthshire, to see the work of their ‘Free From’ Unit, which produces a range of gluten-free products.
Kevan and Gordon serve as the Chair and Secretary of the All Party Parliamentary Group Coeliac Disease and Dermatitis Herpetiformis, and were keen to find out more about the bakery’s work in this area.
Kevan said, “I was very impressed by the efforts Warburtons is making with its gluten-free range. It is very encouraging to see such improvements being made in both the range and quality of products available for those who have to follow a gluten-free diet.”
