Kevan Jones, Member of Parliament for North Durham, will be calling in to St. Peters Court in Sacriston on Friday morning (20 December) to make a donation towards their Christmas celebrations.
St Peters Court is a complex of sixteen apartments specifically for ex-service personnel run by the charity Shaid, and offers a variety of support to help them adapt to life after they leave the forces. More information can be found at http://www.shaid.org.uk/index.php/services/stpeterscourt.
Mr. Jones said, “I am very pleased to be able to, in a small way, show my support for this excellent facility in my constituency. I have visited St Peters Court many times before and am always impressed by what goes on here, so I am more than happy to offer a donation to help them fund their celebrations on Christmas Day.”
