On 8 October, Kevan visited Newcastle College’s new Rail Academy at Gateshead.
The Academy is a new facility, the first of its kind in the region, which hopes to train the rail engineers of the future. The college worked with the National Skills Academy for Railway Engineering and major rail companies such as Network Rail, in establishing the college.
