Kevan Jones, Member of Parliament for North Durham, visited Pelton Community Centre on Saturday 26 May during their open day.
The open day was an opportunity for local people to see all the brand new facilities that the Community Centre has to offer, and and featured the official opening of the Centre’s new gym facilities, as well as the new Community Cafe.
Mr. Jones said, “I am very pleased to be visiting Pelton Community Centre to see the further changes that have been made since I was last here. The superb facilities that are on offer are a testament to all the hard work of everyone connected to the centre- staff, volunteers, the County Council, and particularly Councillor Jim Cordon.
“The Centre is an excellent resource for local people, and, along with the new school, and the ongoing building of a new health centre and library, is part of a remarkable transformation of the village.”
