Kevan Jones, Member of Parliament for North Durham, visited Hare Law School in Catchgate, Stanley, on Friday 27 February, along with Durham County Councillor Thomas Nearney.

During the visit, Kevan met with Headteacher Maggie Collins to discuss the school’s future plans, and also visited what will soon be the school’s new home, at the former North Durham Academy site at Greencroft.

Kevan said, “It was a pleasure to visit Hare Law School and to speak with Maggie about the plans the school has to ensure it can continue to provide excellent opportunities for its students.

“It was also very interesting to see the progress at the new school site. When it is ready, I am sure it will be an enormous boost to the school, and will allow it to develop strong links with the local community.”

Hare Law School provides specialist education to children and young people with a range of special educational needs.
