Kevan Jones, Member of Parliament for North Durham, visited the RSPCA’s Felledge Animal Centre at Chester Moor on Friday 14 December.
Felledge is home to a cattery and kennels with space for 60 cats and 36 dogs, with specialist care and rehabilitation provided for abandoned animals. The Equine Centre is also one of only three such centres run by the RSPCA in England and Wales.
Mr. Jones said, “I am very pleased to have the opportunity to visit Felledge, which I know does such marvellous work with animals that have suffered cruelty and neglect.
“I am proud to have such an excellent facility in my constituency, and it is vitally important, particularly at this time of year, to do all we can to support the work of this centre, and RSPCA facilities around the country.”
