Kevan Jones MP has joined calls for the government to set out a clear path for the Northern Rock, and has said remutualisation should be considered.
Mr. Jones said, “The important thing is that we have got to get value for money for the taxpayer, but from a North East point of view that it is a major employer.
“And we need some guarantees that employment is going to stay in the North East.”
