Kevan Jones, Member of Parliament for North Durham, will be launching one of Chester-le-Street Sea Cadets’ new boats at a ceremony on Saturday (19 March). Mr. Jones will be attending the event along with the Chairman of Durham County Council and the Lord Lieutenant of County Durham.

Mr. Jones said, “I am very pleased to be able to attend this event, and to be able to launch one of the new Trinity vessels.

“ Over the last few years, it has been a great privilege to work with the Chester-le-Street Sea Cadet on a number of occasions, and so it is particularly pleasing to be part of this launch, where we welcome into service two new vessels which will be hugely important in the training of young people from my constituency and beyond. I wish the Sea Cadets every success in the future.”
