Kevan took part in an Adjournment Debate on Wednesday 9 February, which had been secured by Pat Glass, Member of Parliament for North West Durham.

Rising prices for domestic oil fuel are causing major problems for people living in rural areas who are ‘off gas’, many of whom are living in fuel poverty.

Kevan said, “In a constituency such as mine, which is a rural constituency…many people do not have a choice about whether to use oil, because there is no access to gas or another alternative fuel.”
