Kevan Jones, Member of Parliament for North Durham, will be calling in at the Chester-le-Street Free Advice Day tomorrow, 18 February, at Chester-le-Street Civic Centre.
Mr. Jones said, “This event provides an excellent opportunity for my constituents, and others from across the county, to come along and talk to a number of different agencies about any problems they have.
“Often, issues such as delays in benefit payments, or housing applications, can involve different bodies, be it housing associations, local authorities or government departments. Events such as this are an excellent example of different agencies providing people with a joined up service.
“I hope there will be many more such events in the future.”
Free Advice will be available between 9am and 4pm, on a number of issues ranging from housing problems to benefit checks, job searches and credit unions.
