This week Kevan Jones railed against the Government’s economic programme in a debate in the House of Commons on the Budget.
Kevan pointed out that the Government’s policies are leaving the North East behind, that the Budget didn’t do anything to tackle the scourge of youth unemployment, and that it is local authorities in the poorest areas – like County Durham and others in the North East – who have suffered the most under this Government whilst more affluent authorities have in fact benefited.
