Kevan Jones, Member of Parliament for North Durham has offered his congratulations to the Just for Women Centre in Stanley.
The Centre, of which Mr. Jones is patron, was named Champion Business at the recent Evening Chronicle Community Champion Awards.
Mr. Jones said, “I would like to offer my sincere congratulations to Linda and everyone at the Just for Women Centre. They do a tremendous job helping women in my constituency, from teaching them new skills to simply offering a place for them to meet and make friends. I am very proud to be Patron of the Centre, and this award is thoroughly deserved.”
The business, which was set up and is run by Linda Kirk, has helped around 400 women since its foundation, and was officially opened by Kevan Jones in August 2012.
